Short Reviews of Past Settlement Seminars

Shown below are a series of short reviews telling what went on and what were the highlights of past Seminars. Most of these Seminars were held at the Quaker Settlement at Whanganui, but some were held at other Monthly Meetings around Aotearoa/New Zealand.

 

held 25-26 Sept 2010 at Mt Eden Meeting House, Auckland.

We explored the things that had brought us to Friends, and what continued to attract us to Meeting for Worship. We also looked at the need we feel for something to feed our souls. We briefly forayed into the psychological aspect of faith and explored the nature of other faiths, and their relationship to Quakers. We did a few Circle Dances, to unite us in physical movement, and explored what the Quaker Testimonies meant to us. There were up to 27 of us present, and the Meeting for Worship towards the end on Sunday morning was included before the final sharing session.
