Day 1

Wellington Young Friends is a group that aims to meet the needs of Quakers aged 18-35 who live in Wellington.  We don't check ID, so if you're a little older or a little younger, you'd be welcome too.  We already have a range of people from College students to their teachers and from uni students to young parents and professionals.

At present we have a regular Pizza Night near the start of the month for Fun, Friends, Food and meaning.  On the 8th of August 2014 we met to explore how Quakers' historic commitment to Peace interacts with the United Nations' Right to Protect.

This image shows a brainstorm of some of the ideas we have for the future.

The best way to join us is to come to the Sunday Meeting for Worship and ask about activities for young people.  If one of us isn't there to shake your hand and share the enthusiasm, someone else will be able to help you.  If you'd rather make first contact with us than the Wellington Quakers at large, give the Resident Friends a call (04-385-4897)or an email
